In 2004, Latin Opinion was born in Baltimore as a print and digital platform that has since become the leading source of information for the Hispanic community in Baltimore and Maryland. Over these two decades, I have felt immense pride and satisfaction in witnessing how, through unwavering effort and dedication, we have forged a path of steadfast service to our community and all residents of the region.
From the very beginning, our mission has been clear: to inform, protect, and promote prosperity and well-being, guided by a deep belief in the power of community integration. Over the years, Latin Opinion has worked tirelessly to foster harmonious relationships between the Hispanic, African American, and Anglo-Saxon communities, encouraging a shared understanding of the laws that govern this nation. We take great pride in serving as a bridge for unity and mutual understanding, strengthening the social fabric that binds the diverse communities of Baltimore and Maryland.
Latin Opinion’s journey was rooted in Impacto Latino, a trailblazing radio program launched in 1997. Today, this program has evolved into a pillar of Opiniones Radio, now presented as a podcast. With every broadcast and each edition of our publication, we have sought to provide a sense of refuge and belonging to those who come to this great nation in search of new opportunities and fresh beginnings. We have chronicled the stories of individuals striving to build futures in esteemed federal agencies and leading corporations—always with the steadfast aim of serving our community with integrity, commitment, and a forward-looking vision of progress.
Over the past two decades, Latin Opinion has earned recognition as a certified institution committed to the highest standards of quality and excellence, particularly as a minority-owned business. Such achievements would not have been possible without the strategic alliances we’ve cultivated with community organizations, government institutions, and prominent private sector partners. We are proud to be a trusted and dedicated partner in projects that strengthen our community, foster development, and advance collective well-being.
Throughout our history, we have cultivated strong, enduring relationships not only with federal, state, and local government agencies but also across vital sectors such as arts and culture, sports, science and technology, housing, transportation, safety, education, entertainment, health, and social services. These collaborations have allowed us to provide accurate, relevant information to our audience, always supported by the trust and confidence of those who recognize the value of our mission and the positive impact we bring to society.
Today, Latin Opinion stands as the most trusted digital media outlet for Maryland’s Hispanic population. Our website—widely recognized as the most visited in the region over the last 16 years—stands as a powerful testament to our ability to connect the community with its identity and with the information it needs to thrive. Looking ahead, we embrace the future with optimism, fully aware of the significant developments that await Baltimore in the coming years, including advancements in digital technology, urban growth, and an expanding tourism sector. In this context, we remain committed to showcasing a fresh and authentic image of our city, one that truly reflects its spirit and boundless potential.
To everyone who has been part of this journey, I extend my deepest gratitude. To our readers, clients, and collaborators—thank you for your unwavering trust in Latin Opinion. As we stand at this pivotal milestone, we take pride in affirming that our mission has been fulfilled, yet our commitment to the future remains as strong as ever. Latin Opinion will continue to be a platform where the Hispanic community finds its voice, as we move forward with integrity, dedication, and an unyielding commitment to our shared vision.
May God bless us all.
Sincerely,
Erick A. Oribio Quintana
