Los Orioles llevan el orgullo Latino sobre el pecho
Mañana, Oriole Park at Camden Yards se vestirá de identidad, talento y
orgullo hispano durante la celebración de Hispanic Heritage Night
Los primeros 15,000 aficionados que ingresen al estadio recibirán gratuitamente un hermoso jersey de edición especial. En el frente, una frase cercana y poderosa: “Los Orioles”, en español. En la espalda, una extraordinaria obra del artista salvadoreño-estadounidense Josué Martínez, graduado de MICA en Baltimore, cuyo diseño une la esencia del béisbol con el color, la fuerza y la riqueza cultural del arte
latino.
La presencia hispana ha dejado una huella profunda en la historia de los Baltimore Orioles. Por la organización han pasado figuras inolvidables como el venezolano Luis Aparicio, miembro del Salón de la Fama, junto con Roberto Alomar, Rafael Palmeiro, Sammy Sosa, Miguel Tejada, Melvin Mora y Ozzie Guillén, entre muchos otros.
Hoy, ese legado continúa con una nueva generación de jóvenes peloteros, entre quienes sobresale el dominicano Samuel Basallo, cuyo desempeño alimenta las expectativas de la organización de cara a la
próxima temporada.
La celebración también rendirá homenaje a los jugadores latinos de los Orioles y al valioso aporte de todos los hispanos que trabajan, muchas veces fuera de los reflectores, en las diferentes áreas de la
organización. Ellos también son parte esencial de esta historia.

The Orioles wear Latino pride close to the heart
Tomorrow, Oriole Park at Camden Yards will be filled with identity, talent, and Hispanic pride during the Orioles’ Hispanic Heritage Night celebration
The first 15,000 fans entering the ballpark will receive a beautiful, limited-edition jersey free of charge. Across the front appears a familiar and powerful phrase in Spanish: “Los Orioles.” On the back is an extraordinary work by Salvadoran American artist and MICA graduate Josué Martínez, whose design brings together the spirit of baseball with the color, strength, and cultural richness of Latino art.
The Hispanic presence has left a profound mark on the history of the Baltimore Orioles. The organization has welcomed unforgettable figures such as Venezuelan Hall of Famer Luis Aparicio, along with Roberto
Alomar, Rafael Palmeiro, Sammy Sosa, Miguel Tejada, Melvin Mora, Ozzie Guillén, and many others.
Today, that legacy continues through a new generation of young players, including Dominican standout Samuel Basallo, whose performance is building excitement for the organization’s future.
The celebration will also honor the Orioles’ Latino players and recognize the valuable contributions of all Hispanics working throughout the organization—many of them away from the spotlight. They, too, are an essential part of this story.
