ABOUT THE FOUNDER

Erick A. Oribio Quintana

Founder & Chief Strategic Communications Officer Latin Opinion 360

Erick A. Oribio Quintana is a veteran bilingual communicator, Hispanic media entrepreneur, broadcaster, multicultural outreach strategist, and community engagement executive with nearly three decades of experience serving Maryland’s diverse communities.

Since 1997, he has played a pioneering role in the development of Hispanic media, bilingual communications, and multicultural outreach initiatives throughout Maryland and the Washington D.C. region. His professional career began in radio broadcasting and community communications, later evolving into the creation of Latin Opinion, one of Maryland’s most recognized Hispanic multimedia communication platforms.

As founder and host of Impacto Latino, recognized as Baltimore’s first Spanish-language community radio talk show, Erick helped open important communication spaces for Maryland’s growing Hispanic population through interviews, public affairs programming, civic engagement initiatives, and community-focused broadcasting.

The program also became one of the first local Hispanic community radio initiatives to collaborate with local government outreach campaigns, nonprofit organizations, and private sector sponsors in support of community education and prevention initiatives.

Throughout his career, Erick Oribio has worked extensively in strategic communications, multicultural marketing, public relations, Hispanic demographic outreach, media production, community relations, and bilingual engagement campaigns.

His experience includes collaborations with government institutions, nonprofit organizations, elected officials, diplomatic missions, health organizations, cultural institutions, and private sector partners focused on education, civic participation, public awareness, and community empowerment.

Among his most recognized community achievements was the organization and coordination of one of Maryland’s earliest large-scale Mexican Mobile Consulate initiatives in Riverdale, Maryland, developed in partnership with Mexican diplomatic authorities, financial institutions, and community organizations. The event provided more than 500 passports, over 500 consular identification cards, assisted more than 100 individuals in opening bank accounts, and helped more than 100 community members obtain tax identification assistance through collaborative outreach efforts.

Following his participation in Census outreach initiatives in Maryland, Erick continued expanding his involvement in bilingual civic engagement and public communication efforts, collaborating in pioneering multilingual voting communication initiatives under the mentorship of former Maryland Secretary of State John Willis. Throughout his professional journey, he has maintained collaborative relationships with Democratic and Republican administrations alike, as well as with federal, state, county, municipal, nonprofit, and multicultural institutions.

Erick has also supported numerous nonprofit and community-based causes related to cancer awareness, kidney health, violence prevention, youth development, education, anti-drug initiatives, domestic violence prevention, public health campaigns, and cultural outreach throughout Maryland. Latin Opinion has consistently partnered with nonprofit organizations, hospitals, foundations, cultural institutions, embassies, museums, and community associations in support of educational and multicultural initiatives.

In the field of youth development and prevention, Erick serves as a local coach and community collaborator supporting youth engagement initiatives inspired by the Real Madrid Foundation methodology, promoting soccer, discipline, leadership, and community values as tools for prevention and positive social impact among young people.

He also collaborates in community awareness and outreach initiatives connected to public safety, prevention, and civic engagement efforts alongside federal, state, and local institutions, including serving as a community ambassador and outreach collaborator associated with initiatives connected to the FBI Baltimore Field Office.

Beyond media and communications, Erick has served in leadership and advisory roles within community organizations and civic initiatives, earning recognition for his bipartisan approach, multicultural bridge-building capacity, and longstanding commitment to Maryland’s Hispanic community.

Today, Erick A. Oribio Quintana continues leading Latin Opinion 360 with a vision focused on innovation, responsible communications, multicultural engagement, strategic partnerships, community empowerment, emerging technologies, and meaningful connections between government institutions, corporations, nonprofit organizations, and Hispanic communities across Maryland and the Washington D.C. region.
