Muchas escuelas y universidades de Maryland estarán cerradas el lunes 26 de enero debido a una gran tormenta de nieve que afectó al estado el domingo.
Gran parte del estado sufrió fuertes nevadas, hielo y temperaturas extremadamente frías, según el Equipo Meteorológico de Primera Alerta de WJZ.
El lunes es un día de alerta meteorológica temprana y hay una vigilancia de tormenta invernal vigente para varios condados, incluidos Carroll, Howard, Baltimore, Harford, Anne Arundel, Cecil, Kent, Queen Anne’s, Caroline y Talbot, así como para la ciudad de Baltimore, hasta el lunes por la mañana.
Maryland registró entre 15 y 30 centímetros de nieve el domingo, seguidos de aguanieve y lluvia helada. Las temperaturas rondarán los -6 °C y los -10 °C.
